TE Connectivity (hereinafter referred to as “TE”) Dynamic series has always been a star product for battery management systems, providing various miniaturized on-board connection solutions for energy storage battery management system applications while ensuring high reliability, durability, and high mating safety.
Recently, the Dynamic “family” welcomed a new member—the TE Dynamic Ultra connector series, which continues to emphasize its compact design for wire-to-board interconnections. Notably, the Dynamic Ultra’s multiple contact points deliver reliable performance, even in harsh environments such as electric vehicle (EV) powertrains, battery packs, and automotive lighting systems. The Dynamic Ultra connector series complies with the LV 214 standard and is suitable for specialized automotive applications. Additionally, the series offers user-friendly features designed to enhance overall product functionality and advantages.
Product Highlights
Terminal design with multiple contact points
The Dynamic Ultra series features terminals with multiple contact points, which help reduce contact resistance. This design enhances reliability under high vibration and impact conditions, making it ideal for applications in harsh environments.
Secondary locking design
The Dynamic Ultra series connector system includes a secondary locking mechanism. In addition to crimping and wrapping the insulation of the cable wires, pre-assembled gaskets inside the socket housing help simplify cable assembly while reducing the risk of wire loosening. This auxiliary locking feature provides a contact holding force of 50N, helping to ensure safety and a durable connection.
Visual locking verification
The Dynamic Ultra series features a rectangular window on the upper surface of the board-mounted mounting base, allowing visual confirmation that the terminal socket is properly inserted into the board-mounted base. The locking status can also be verified using a camera system, enhancing assembly accuracy and reliability.
Two keyway designs for misinsertion prevention
Both the terminal socket and the board-mounted mounting base are equipped with keyway designs to reduce the likelihood of incorrect mating during assembly. This ensures accurate alignment before connection and smooth completion of the connection, even when using two sets of connectors with the same number of pins on the same PCB board, preventing the possibility of incorrect connection.
The Dynamic Ultra series is available in black and natural colors, offering options to meet different application requirements and enabling quick visual differentiation.
