LLC Module
LLC refers to a resonant converter topology featuring a core resonant network composed of two inductors (L) and one capacitor (C).
Its primary purpose:
To achieve efficient DC voltage conversion and isolation.
It is particularly suitable for applications requiring high efficiency and high power density.
The problem it addresses:
Traditional hard-switching power supplies (such as flyback and forward converters) experience simultaneously high voltage and current during the instantaneous turn-on or turn-off of the switching transistor. This generates significant switching losses (heat), limiting efficiency gains and the ability to increase switching frequency.
