USB devices can be plugged into any USB port on a USB hub.
Another type of USB device is a USB hub, which allows you to connect more USB devices. A USB hub has an upstream port that connects to the upstream (PC) and multiple ports that connect to downstream devices (USB devices).
A USB hub can connect up to 127 devices (including the hub itself).
Data is exchanged between the host and the device, but USB devices do not exchange data directly with each other.
